Finding the right language channel

Now that there are numerous language channels, I suspect it can be difficult for new and not so new players to find their language channel, or even know there is one for them.

One possible solution / help could be that the intro to chat be changed for when you log in.

Instead of the current message, a message saying that global-1 is English, global 2 is english rp, global-3 is trade and then the different languages with their channels could then be listed with the instructions on how to get there.

This could be held say for 30 seconds to allow people time to read it and note their channel number, and then chat would continue as normal.

There should then be no excuse for using the wrong language outside the correct channel, making the MODs jobs easier and life cooler in chat.

Hopefully somewhere the problem that chat defaults to global-1 when returning from a different screen should also be mentioned.

Hi Unlucky,

We are currently working on implementing a sentence at the top of every chan that says "Welcome to the [Language]-only channel. Please respect the code of conduct: [link]"
The code of conduct now has the link to the different language chans as one of the first things mentioned.

Of course this is not a perfect system, but the chat system was not built to have different messages for each channel wich is making it hard to code this in.
Hopefully it will be part of one of the next maintenance patches.
