the ones u buy in the shop are just to use when for some reason the quest one was cancelled by the player. The adventures don;t give eggs, it is the quest that gives the egg (finish adventure <1-10> in easter questline) and you only get the quests one time.
So basically you tried to get more than allowed but i do think bb will refund the 10 coin for these at the end of event as many people used em and got confused with the explanations in the beginning
