    I keep disconnecting

    I keep disconnecting and my game cannot connect to the chat server. I don't have this problem with any other game and my internet is just fine. Are the servers too busy or something? How can I resolve this?

    Have you tried emptying your cache and cookies? Checking your version of Flash?

    Settlers is very sensative to any fluctuations in the network signal, especially if you are using a wireless connection.
    Make sure that your network card power management is switched off and that no other programmes are hogging excessive amounts of bandwidth.
    If at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.

    Ok support is useless, they don't know that the problem is. I turned off the network card power management but to no avail.

    Anything that interferes with the network can cause a fluctuation in the network signal.
    Certain types of Anti-virus, security software and firewall could be one problem

    I'm having the same issue - the mentioned fixes dont help.

    I can only assume it is their servers at busy times unable to handle the load, 5am-8am no problem at all, after 11pm no problem. Any time inbetween and their is just no point in playing

    I have the same problem up to 5 times a day now but it only started happening after the last maintenance last Thursday. I have tried all the above mentioned fixes and have even been logging on at my fathers house and have the same problem. It is now starting to get very annoying and over the weekend I have seen many of the same threads complaining about the connection. Once again support are not sure of the cause of this but assured me they are looking in to the problem so lets hope the next maintenance fix's the issue.

    May I also ask that rather then everyone starting a new thread to complain about the connection problems most of us have started having this week, that we all stick to posting about it in 1 thread as im sure 1 big thread with meany people complaining about the connection issue will make more of a difference then lots of small threads that disappear after a few hrs.

    Same problem with me. Cannot stay on the game for more than 2 minutes before i get the message to reconnect..........At the present i just cannot play the game.
