    Upgrade times

I would like to suggest a rethink about the length of time required to upgrade buildings. A Level 1 to Level 2 upgrade is reasonably quick. After that, the situation deteriorates very badly:

    Level 1 to Level 2 - 2 minutes 30 seconds
    Level 2 to Level 3 - 60 minutes
    Level 3 to Level 4 - 24 hours

And during an upgrade, no production takes place.

How long is a Level 4 to level 5 upgrade?? I have no idea, but if it's consistent with the sequence above, then it'll be 24 days. And quite frankly, in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if it does take that long.

Why are the higher level upgrades so extremely slow? Please reconsider whether it's really necessary to impose such a penalty on players who are trying to make progress without lashing out on extra building licenses.

upgrade from 4 to 5 is 7 days

Upgrade times for mines are much shorter - in the hours even for 4 -> 5

Oh and remember the buildings don't produce during the upgrade time

Indeed. It's the main reason I'm complaining.

Such slow upgrades without any loss of production would be tiresome, but liveable with. But 24 hours of production loss is horrendous, let alone 7 days.

As was pointed out to me when I asked a question on here about upgrades, the reason they don't produce is to make you stop and think before you upgrade. All comes down to how easy do you want this to be? Part of the challenge is keeping your recources up during that week you're upgrading to level 5.

    Hi Winterset,

The time it takes for major upgrades is a voluntary thing. We believe it pushes the player to make a clear choice: "is it more interesting for me to upgrade or to build a new building?"
Moreover, you are talking about the final upgrade for buildings here and I find that it is logical this should take a very long time. On any game, the final upgrades take much longer than the previous ones.
