I have a laptop running windows vista and a desktop running windows 7. (Both wireless)
The desktop has a much higher spec, but I have never had a stable connection to this game on that machine, in any location.
Thanks to an earlier post from XelaW, the desktop has been running the game for several hours.

I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but worth a try.

Open a search engine and type "firefox profile manager".
Follow the instructions to create a new profile. (I named mine TSO)

Important Do not delete your original (default) profile.
Your new profile will have no bookmarks etc.
Select the option for firefox to prompt the profile to be used.

You will need to exit firefox to create this, so a paper and pen or another browser/computer will be handy.
