I have noticed that when trying to sell goods in the trade section, if no one buys, they simply vanish without trace, losing the goods and trade value of the item up for sale, once the time limit is up. Perhaps this could be fixed?

Think your wrong on this one. No goods are lost through nobody buying your trade.
i just saw this happen with 50 titanium..
i definitely put it for sale..
when i logged back in there was no record of the sale.. and no titanium.
although the graphics of settlers gives the impression that technology is not so advanced.. i have reason to suspect some islands have created internets and hacking schools
