Maybe it won't get into the contest as it's a bit longish but here it goes:
I shall tell yee a tale,
of glory and fame,
of women whose beauty is
for it all to blame.
There once was a game,
a life, another world,
whatever yee call it
thou should pray to the lord,
that there are wise men,
who devise such things
so we can fool around
without any strings.
In this world one knight
whose name we'll omit
had only one dream:
to learn how to knit.
He studied thoroughly,
he attended courses,
but what he did learn
was how to raise horses.
"Horses are fine
but they are not knitting"
he said to himself
while taking a beating.
For you have to know
he was whiny and puny
Picked on by others
as he's slightly loony.
"I must learn to smite steel"
he came to conclusion
It's strong and it might cure me
from this knitting delusion
With steel came coal mining,
for it is a must
And trading and baking,
turning wheat to dust.
Whatever you needed
he was your man.
He became man of steel
but not Superman.
That's the end of the story
"finally" - you might say
but you still haven't heard of
the women of dismay.
Well, then stop for a while
think for a bit
why would a grown man
want to learn how to knit?

a lot of knitting in there lol...drop one pearl two
To build a kingdom, to reside,
With other some Settlers at my side,
Houses they are going to need,
But not without a title deed.
On the North Isle, I did Settle,
Having to mine for stone and metal.
Farms and fields I needed a few,
To get my bread and some brew.
Fishers, butchers and the bakers,
Smelters, masons and toolmakers,
And all those workers in the woods,
Without them we’d have no goods.
Bandits you have to fight and kill,
But your Generals have the skill,
With an army of soldiers, picked to suit,
You are the victor and get the loot.
To rise in levels, you need to gain XP,
But a lot is needed, to reach fifty,
With help from friends and a guild,
Your ambitions can be filled.
Settlers Online you are great,
Many a night I’ve been late,
Day after day, playing on screen.
A better game there’s never been.
BigBuddha.
We came
We saw
We conquered
Bandits now Had it's
Other lands visited
Short and sweet
To clean these plains
And rout again
To clout and maim
Keep my land free from pain
No sorrow
Just joy
My ploy to trade and help friends out
A buff a day is welcome
No doubt
And if you see I've visited your land
Give me shout
And help me out
One up on a Settlers time in a land far far away:
In the beginning the Settlers Settled for less.
But soon they wanted a fancier dress!
The Settlers began to build, mine and harvest the land.
But the Settlers had a higher demand!
Soon the Settlers had Settled down and explored every corner of their land.
But their neighbors had swords in their hand!
The Settlers trained soldiers to conquer new land.
But the Settlers wanted more to expand!
New adventures Settled their desire for a thrill.
But even a Settler needs to chill!
Now and again the Settlers sit down and have a brew.
But soon the Settlers are online on a computer near yew!

I started playing Settlers 3
and now am playing globally
My settlers all toil away
Cause I wont let them out to play
They fish, hunt, chop and mine
Only because I think world domination would be fine
So as I trot off to bed
I hope my guys will get ahead
Fill my storehouses with all I need
And in the morning I hope to see
Mats brimming on the storehouse floor
Even coming out the door
Then I will explore a little more
hoping for treasure to expand my horde
Build an army and go and fight
Hope and pray with all my might
That today I can get another level
And think on about my quest
World domination is it evil???
Dear Settlers,
Thanks a lot for all these wonderful poems!
The event is now closed and we will take no more poems (any modification made after this post will disqualify your poem).
I will be getting back to you in a few days with a shortlist of our favorite poems and we will then have a forum to choose the winners!

I live in a small mountainous, hilly,
many hardworking people who live there ....
Where a small creek trickles,
fishing in my old chum ...
My Island of Woe's
I love my Island all guilded in gold
Its not very productive or so I've been told
The settlers are restless and all very old
They'll soon kick the bucket
Then this story will be told
As soon as they die I will eat some sweat pie
Then drink down a mug and thank God in the sky
For the settlers were lazy and rude when
They left my gold island all stumpy and crude
So to this end I beg for you buffs
So I may once again be shiny and tough
Theres no guarantee I will ever give them back
So please never wonder why I beg for what I lack
