My fellow Settler comrades,

Ready your artistic tools: The Great Olympian Settlers Fan Art Contest has begun!

Have you ever had the urge to show the world your creativity? Do you have true artistic flair but never had the chance to exploit it? Or perhaps do you consider yourself as the next Picasso in the making?
Or maybe… just maybe, you simply want to do it for grins and giggles?

Well now is your ultimate chance to show us what a true Settler fan can do!

The contest is very simple: Create your very own Fan Art demonstrating your Settlers in any type of “Olympic”/ “Sporting” event.

You may use any tools at your disposal to create this unique piece of Art: Painting, illustrations, drawings, comic book strips, screenshot montage!
Be creative and use your imagination! Less text, say more through imagery!

Because of the strict branding policies of the Olympics, a few of rules below need to be respected.

-Forbidden to use the official Olympic Logo/flag/rings/flame
-Forbidden to use photos/images or any type of media directly associated with the Olympics
-Forbidden to use the words “games”, Two Thousand and Twelve” “2012” and “twenty twelve”.
-Forbidden to use the words "gold, silver, bronze, London, medals, sponsor, and summer".
-One contest entry per person only!

The contest starts today August 6th and will end on Friday August 17th.

We will select and announce the three top winners on Friday the 17th of August.

Prizes:

1st place: 3000 gems
2nd place:1500 gems
3rd place: 1000 gems

The point is to not use anything that's too close to the official logos.

It is good to have always these competitions from tso, but i have a comment: in my personal view, i believe the time given is always short. I don't know if this is done because they want to do more competitions. But i do see that the time is always short. However, for me i do not have enough time to do these things occasionally and i take things easily and slowly, that's why i see the time short, maybe others do have time and see it ok.

I just wanted to say my point of view because i believe that there are others that agree with me.

Regardless, it is really cool to have these competitions which will also cheer the fans
I will try to participate one day if i had the time
