The new trade system

OK, having tested this on the staging server, I can see an obvious improvement (if technically possible), that will answer 2 very long-running problems.
Is it feasible to attach the trade-chat channel to the new trade screen? It would be logical, easy to find, and those who are reticent to change channels in case they miss a bit of gossip in g-1 won't miss a thing!
Everything would then be in 1 place, people could compare offers with current trends, and even be in the right place to set a one-off trade that they had discussed.
Unfortunately, I can't suggest this on the staging server, the permissions for the forum are still very cranky, but apart from those with limited screen sizes, I can see this working well if it can be done.

Oh, believe me, they will still want to barter.

After speaking with a BB on the staging server, they actually seem to believe that the new trade window means they can do away with the trade chat!
This will put us back to the dark days, with people trying to barter/ set up swaps on the global channel.
Bad move.
