Eliot contest
Time span: 22nd of October – 05th of November.
My fellow Settlers,
One does not simply celebrate Halloween without terrifying ghosts, ghouls, goblins and lots of pumpkins!
Whilst we have no doubt that you are enjoying the official epic and terrifying event, we have prepared a little contest for you!
Brace yourselves comrades, tis now time to use your imagination, express and demonstrate your creativity, wit and perceptiveness with a nice healthy pinch of self-mockery!
The rule is very simple… but before we start explaining things in thorough detail, let me introduce you to Eliot, the pumpkin master… yes, he will appear during the Halloween event! Here he is, in all his cranky, pumpkin”y” glory !
You folks are probably scratching your heads right now wondering what Eliot has to do with anything.. It’s silly really …
PRIZES
We will reward the funniest, most look alike and wacky pictures just like this!
1st place: 4000 Gems
2nd place: 2000 Gems
3rd place: 1000 Gems
The ultimate grand winner will get a personalised title on the forum. (example : « The Great Evil Mastermind »
RULES
• You have one regular game account.
• Underage players must get parent's permission.
• 3rd person rights must be respected.
• In case of forum tasks use the “report post” function to report invalid postings.
• Participants agree that Blue Byte/Ubisoft is allowed to announce the winners and present their submitted pictures. Channels that might be used to announce the winners and to show their work are websites, forums, Facebook groups and Twitter channels of The Settlers Online.
RULES FOR THE TASK
• Take a picture of yourself (or a friend/family member) reproducing Eliot’s pose, try and be faithful to the original! Yes this could involve a real pumpkin.
• You do not have to wear a pumpkin on your head (although if you did, this would be a huge defining factor when it comes to the final results)
• You do not have to wear a costume (again, this would be a plus)
• Only one picture/entry per person
SUBMISSION
• Submission:
o Post your photograph in this thread
o Important: The forum is moderated
Only pictures that stick to all recommendations (content, deadline,etc.) will have a chance to win.
• Format:
o At least 800 * 600 pixels
o The forum does shrink pictures, therefore you should use picture services like http://imageshack.us
• Deadline: 5th of November.
CHOOSING WINNERS
• The Ubisoft Blue Byte team chooses 3 winners.
• On 9th of November the winners will be announced on the forums.
• The rewards will be sent to winners as soon as possible, CW. 46/2012 the latest.
It’s now all up to you: prepare your cameras, phones, webcams and show us what you can do!
