    24hr food buff + saltpetre

Quite a simple suggestion really, A food buff that can be produced from the provision house that costs 4x a basket and lasts 4x as long and takes 4x as long to produce, but also uses saltpetre.

    Great Feast
    480 fish
    240 bread
    80 sausage
    40 saltpetre each

    Why saltpetre?
Well at the moment its probably the least used resources that people have stockpiled since you get loads from adventures and scouts, but it never actually gets used (who makes cannons?)
It is used as a meat preservative. - so not just a random extra ingredient.

all the gem ones give 3x output, this would just be a normal 2x output buff, and yes a 12 hour version would be nice if 24 hour is too long.

Excellent idea, although I prefer it to be for 24 hours

Excellent idea, however I think a 8hr buff might be more in-line with the game, especially since the game requires online traffic to make money and survive.

Ppl usually have 8hr work days, want time to spend relaxing, doing extra-curriculars, being with the family, cooking dinner etc... the extra hassle of the working family individual doesn't give time to be constantly checking/rechecking etc.

A standard 8hr buff should be more than adequate especially when buffed on a friend is 12 hrs... imo i think the cost should be 1 basket+1 sandwich to make.

great idea nonetheless, +1 original post

I had the same idea a while ago. I like it very much, no matter the duration of the buff really. Even 12h will do.

    In any case, +1

Don't fancy saltpetre on my food, I remember how it's made!

I would firmly support a longer buff. Heck, why not put a gold nugget or ten (gold ore) in the basket for good measure; that would surely get the settlers working harder for longer!
