What is the point of a Guild ?

Anyone able to point me at some directions/guidelines as to what the point is of a Guild, now that I have one ?

Apart from a nice looking building of course

A guild gives you a place where you can all chat together (this is unmoderated by the game MOD`s) the leader makes the chat rules as to whats acceptable and whats not

Its a place where players can ask each others for buffs//advice etc

Also many guilds trade between their own guild members,and also do adventures together..

Okay thanks ! I was asked by a member of my guild about a "Guild Quest" - do these exist ? If so how do we get them ?

They do but you need x amount of members in your guild to do them
