How do I kill Chuck? Help please.
How do I kill Chuck? Help please.
depends on the units you have available, having soldiers makes the fight a bit easier. Without soldiers:
You need to send 2 attacks, but you only need to do one attack at a time with the general resting between (if you only have 1 general)
first attack:
120 cavalry
this kills off the dogs and rangers
then second attack:
74 militia + 126 longbowmen
these should finish off chuck and the roughnecks.
The order is very important, the cavalry NEED to attack first otherwise the dogs will kill off your longbowmen.
The troops you send can be changed slightly depending on what weapons you have or can make. Also, if you have sent a few troops already you might have killed a few of the enemy. I use this combat simulator:
http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...fsimulator/en/
It can take some time to figure out some of its features, including the hall of fame section, but it is helpful. If we look at chucks camp you can see from the simulator there are a few ways to do it:
1: 50C
2: 80B 120LB
3: 75R 10S 63C 52LB
or:
1: 117C
2: 85R 40M 75B
3: 80R 120B
or:
1: 50C
2: 70C
3: 85R 40M 75B
4: 180R 20S
or:
1: 51C
2: 80B 120LB
3: 78R 70C 52LB
If you have killed all of the enemy except chuck then this will kill chuck by himself:
80R 40M 80B
If you have killed some of the enemy but not all of them you could use simultaor to find best solutuion for your situation.

Difficult to say what way is the best one.
The option with 10 soldiers is not realistic I would say. I'm at level 28 and I have no clue how to get to steel swords production already; simply not enough building licences. Perhaps possible for players who are buying extra gems to buy buildings granting additional licences?
Trading doesn't seem to be much of an option; 100 steel swords seem to go at high rates.
Now that I'm reading the above, I have to conclude that a 2nd wave with 80B + 120 LB is cheaper and better than what I followed:
1: 50 C
=> kill 50 Guard Dogs
2: 30 R, 30 M, 140 LB
=> kill Chuck and about 50 Roughnecks
3: 43 R, 17 M, 80 C, 60 B
=> kill all that's left at the cost of about 35 recruits
Notice that I had to make quite a rough trade to get the longbows. Even with 120 LB that will be required, since I don't expect many level 28 players to have invested in a level 2 longbowmaker. I even doubt that would have been an efficient choice by the way.
Perhaps all of this brings the option with 4 waves to the most realistic one?
