    Buffs

    Buffs:
Buffs are made from gathered resources converted into Platters, Sandwiches or Baskets from the Buffs Tab when you select your Provision House.
Once created the buff is placed in your Star Menu and can be selected and the applied to your production buildings to increase their output, without increasing the resources consumed, for a brief period of time. Buffs can not be stacked on top of one another and you have to wait for the buff to finish before you can apply the next one. Buffed buildings will be highlighted once the buff has been selected and will then glow and twinkle until the buff has expired. You can see how much time of buffing you have left on each building by selecting it and looking at the top right corner of the box.

The most useful thing to know about buffs is that if you buff a friends buildings the buff duration is increased by 50%, this is a great thing for guild members to get involved with ‘buff swaps’ as we all get 50% extra from our buffs by just being friendly it also encourages trading of buffs.

To buff a friend visit them by clicking on this portrait on the bottom bar, select Visit, wait for their land to load, select the buff from your Star Menu and click on their production buildings, just as you do yourself.

    Name: Fish Platter

    Output: x2
    Duration: 30 minutes
    Gifted Duration: 45 minutes

    Name: Solid Sandwich

    Output: x2
    Duration: 2 hours
    Gifted Duration: 3 hours

    Name: Aunt Irma's Gift Basket

    Output: x2
    Duration: 6 hours
    Gifted Duration: 9 hours

    XP

    XP (Experience Points):

XP, in the settlers online is how you achieve levels and the way points are given is tightly controlled while you are on the island to allow the game to guide you through the Tutorial and stop you getting ahead of yourself too quickly.

To see how much XP you have and how many you need to get the next level; Hover your mouse over the transparent and green filled curved slot below your Avatar (top left). A pop up will then show you your current xp and how many you need for the next level
    Clear your Home Island

For the duration of time before taking all bandit camps on your home island xp’s are only achieved for doing the Main Quest you are given in the Quest List . Nothing else wil earn you XP until the Main Quest becomes to clear Bandits when killing them will now give you XP. How many you get will depend on numbers of enemies vanquished and of course the type of enemy that you are vanquishing.

    Combat

    Combat Guide:

Here is a brief summary of all the military resources that will become available to you in the game:

    The Recruit
The most affordable unit and one you will make en masse.
Is used to protect all other units and take damage/deaths to protect them.
Protects Cannoneers from units that "Attack the Weakest".

    Militia
Of limited use, added to Recuits can save a few losses of Soldier or Recuits.
Protects Cannoneers from units that "Attack the Weakest".

    Soldier
The ideal unit to come after Recuits and reduce their deaths.
Good against bosses, again coming in behind Recuits.
Relatively expensive in resources and build time and you should lose as few as possible.

    Elite Soldier
Massive boost over the Soldier with better HP and Damage.
Directly replace Soldiers with Elites as you build them.
Great for boss attacks that would kill Soldiers.
Very expensive in resources and build time.

    Cavalry
Very Low HP and relies on it's First Attack action to strike and withdraw.
Highly vunerable to Attack Weakest enemies, such as Dogs.
Works very well against Bowmen and other low HP units.
Should be protected by Recuits and Soldiers to avoid deaths.
Sometimes the only option for breaking a Boss Camps defecnes to let your Melee units through.
Occasionally can be used en masse to wipe out a camp with zero losses.
Extremely costly at first but become easier to make later on, but still have long creation times.

    Bowman
Very weak ranged unit, they attack after your melee units for added damage.
Should be portected by Recuits to avoid losses early on.
Can be sacrificed like Recuits but mostly not as effective.
Should be swapped for Longbows as soon as they come available.

    Longbowman
Superb ranged attack and a staple of well balanced attacks replacing the Bowman.
Protected by melee units you should take few losses outside of Boss Camps
Semi replaced by the Crossbowman later but remains useful due to it's low cost.

    Crossbowman
Very strong ranged unit to repace the Longbowman in many situations.
Extremely slow to build and gather units.
Losses should be avoided at all costs.
Can shave 10's, of Recuit deaths when replacing Longbowmen.

    Cannoneer
The ultimate weapon with a Last Attack strike attack and huge damage.
Massively expensive and slow to produce but useful in virtually every attack.

    Adventures

    Adventures:

At Level 26 Adventures start and you gain XP by again following the Main Quest which is to do Adventures where you get XP for clearing all the Leaders Camps and the Unique buildings. These wil be explained in more detail within the ‘Adventures’ section.

    Special Events

When a season event is in progress, if you are a high enough level to take part you will probably get Adventures that a pretty easy to complete and give huge amounts of XP compared to regular Adventures for fairly small losses.

    Starting An Adventure:

Click the Adventure in your Star Menu, view its details and click Start Adventure. A new tab appears on the right of your screen with a countdown of the time remaining to complete it.
Use the guides on this page to create an army by filling a Generals Garrison and then clicking the Adventure Tab. Select "Send Army" and choose your Generals to be sent. You can hover over them to see what troops they control. Basic generals take 30 minutes to arrive on the adventure island.
Click the Side Tab again and select Visit to go to the new island. After 30 minutes your General(s) will arrive and you can begin to move them, attack or send them home.

Typically you will send at least 1 General back home right away to bring more soldiers. You do this by emptying the Generals Garrison (Don't worry your troops stay on the Adventure island and cannot be lost or harmed while not garrisoned)
    1.Move to the bottom bar
2.Click on your portrait and select Send Army
    3.Select the empty Garrison General
4.Press OK to send him back home (again 30 mins)
When you need to pop home yourself just click the Home button on the left of the bottom bar, just as you do when visiting a friends island.

    Getting Started:

The Bounty Hunter adventure will most likely be the first adventure that you will play. You get it with lvl26 and it's the tutorial adventure.

It's A very easy to play and you could finish it in 1-2 hours with only one general, This whole adventure can be completed with 80 cav and no losses.
    Adventure Info:
    Player Level: 26+
    Difficulty: 1/10
    Number of Players: 1
    Duration: 3 days
    Experience Points: 202

I just finished the easy version of “Save the Christmas feast” for levels 26-35.

I’ve was checking if the guide “Killste: Collected Adventure Guides by Various Authors” thread in forum was working and in this post I’m going to explain what I did different from the guide.

    I was using this simulator:
OBS! ALWAYS TEST THE SET-UP YOURSELF BEFORE ATTACKING

    My result:
    Troops sent: 200 R, 200 C, 100 LB, 100 M, 50S
Troops lost with these set-ups: 115R
    Time used: less than 6h

    From landingzone/G1

    Camp 2 (40 Thug + 40 Fanatics):
    Normal general: 21 R + 179 C (-21R)

    Guide says: 26R + 174C (15R - 21R - 26R)

    From G2

    Blocking

    From G2A to Camp 5 (40 Recruit Deserters + 40 Shadowsneakers):
Block (method 2) with Normal general: 27S (-0)
    Worked fine, no units lost

    From G2B to Camp 6 (30 Scavengers + 1 Skunk + 30 Thralls):
    Normal general: 57R + 20C + 100LB + 23S (-16R)

    Guide says: 14R + 19C + 164LB (9R - 12R - 13R)

    From G3
    Camp 8 (20 Thugs + 20 Rangers + 40 Cavalry Deserters):
    Normal general: 40R + 110M + 50S (-36R)

    Guide says: 125R (29R - 36R - 43R) OR 42R + 80S (29R - 36R - 42R)

    Blocking

    From G3A to Camp 9 (20 Scavengers + 20 Cultists + 20 Nomads)
Block with normal general (method 1): 1R (-1R)
    Worked fine

    From G3B to Camp 10 (60 Lance Riders + 60 Karls + 1 Croaker)
    Normal general: 50R + 100M + 50S (-42R)

    Guide says: 200R (54R - 61R - 68R)

    [QUOTE=SirS1D;203475]USEFUL LINKS

Karnage Guild Quest Completion Sheet - Members are encouraged to record when they have completed a quest so that we can offer help, support and a word of encouragement to those who need it. All you have to do is cross reference your name in the Left hand column with the current quest (they are kept up to date and dated by Raulcito) enter the date you completed and then exit. The document updates automatically. Cheers!
