Just started today

I am ssuck on level4. I need 100 gold to pay for a geologist. to start my stone production. How can I get more gold ???

You should have the gold in your storehouse.

Select your tavern and purchase the Jolly Geologist from there.

Likewise I started today, the advice above is a bit hopeless.

I got stuck on this a while, the correct & helpful answer is that you have to complete some other quest to get the gold.

I got there eventually by working on other quests. Most tasks give you experience (the green stars), the more of them you have the higher your level, eventually you hit the level you need, then you can go to the storehouse and get the geologist.

I'm not sure I remember how the gold came in, it was maybe when I got to level 5, of perhaps a reward for completing some other quest.

I'm still stuck on how to finish the 'Time is money', 'Further help' & 'Instant build' quests.. it is not clear how to activate those functions. I'm sure they are there... somewhere?

To clarify, the Quest wants the plain Tavern Geologist, the 'Jolly Geologist' is available for gems or Guild Coins in the Merchant.

'Further Help' is, I think, the Help Window Shortcuts. You can find it by clicking the Cog (greyish button) below your Avatar - Archives - Interfaces - Shortcuts

'Instant Build' and 'Halve the Time of a Specialist' have been sticking for some people and may need to be tried more than once, this is a bit awkward as they cost gems.

To 'Instant Build' when a building in the queue window is being built there is a little gem icon you can click and the building should be done immediately.
To 'Halve the Time of a Specialist' send the Geo out to find something and while he searches click him in the Star, the option to hurry him will appear.

I can't recall 'Time is Money', what does it ask?

'Time is money' is use "Gems" to half time of Geologist.
