Hello, since the anniversary gift versions of these are found to be bugged (see http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/t...tfield-rebuild) what can we expect to happen to those items?
Apologies for linking to a closed topic, but it's a vitally important economic question that might be easily answerable if a BB policy for it already exists.

You have got to be kidding? Vitally important economic question? You are taking this game WAY too seriously...
It's a bug, it'll be fixed when it's fixed. If you invest to exploit a bug, that's your decision and your risk. End of story.
I always take games seriouslyIf there's a set policy in place dealing with things like this then it would be good for people to know so that no-one need risk anything.
I'd prefer it for BB to say all these items will be reverted to normal ones, and if that's a known policy then it answers this question. If it's not a known policy then I'll feel so cheated if they later decide that people can keep the ones they have. Sometimes companies do that, and that's the entire point of this thread. If it's a possibly that might happen then I'd sell all my nobles and invest everything I had into them - that's why it's a vital question.
You are wrong, man. I.e. - I hever had these items before, thought they are OK. And later I was sure it's kind of special gift (I never suspect BB can [do it so wrong instead of the f-word] the Birthday gift). So... I think many people were sure it's not a bug, they bought some more fields/wells and now they feel little 'cheated'. There would be no probblem if fields/wells be not-tradeable, but they were, some people spent GC and they just do not like it.Originally Posted by Gerontius

I can confirm that this is a bug, once depleted, it should vanish. It should not return to the star menu.

Ok so that confirms that IF DEPLETED it should vanish but doesnt clarify if demolishing them when not empty will return them to our star menu or wether that bit is also a bug?

Right Dorkan, and it was monday 17:23. And I found first rumors like 'it's a bug' sunday late evening. But before sunday packed fields were about 400gc (little less for wells). And I can imagine if someone bought 10 fields and now feels [you know how].
It's fixed already on the test server so expect it to be fixed on live shortly.
I didn't receive either of them for the anniversary, perhaps that was a bug too?
I am one of those, who didn´t believe it possible for bb to change the programming of an item unintentionally... But hoorah, they managed it, and I´m thoroughly impressed! Kudos to you, who have become cynical enough to expect bugs around every corner, without loosing interest in the game. I guess I´m getting there, one or the other...
Buying 10 fields was not a huge investment, nothing worth crying over. But having spent a day trading, I had managed to get the numbers of fields I had to rebuild every day down to a level that wasn´t painful anymore, as well as solving several placement issues. I was blissfully happy for a day or two, now it all gets taken away. That bugs me.
Bb has answered the massive moaning over endless bugs, errors and misinformation, by sprinkling gem gifts over us since halloween. Not to be ungrateful, but as a player, I want to be rewarded for my actions, not for hanging around waiting for gifts or compensation from the company. Add in this kind of arbitrary rule making on the go, and you have a game that pacifies instead of inspiring to action. (How many are ready to go at the next event after eotw?)
