The advantage is they contain a lot more than your standard so will last longer, that way you don't have to replace them as often
I'm more than likely working right now.
There is going to be a lot of [censored] off people
People who've bought wells and fields and do not read these forums. Only to find after Wedesdays maintenance, all their fields are no longer 'gold stared' fields, but normal trade shop ones that don't return to star menu. All that gold investment wasted.
- And I'm sure BB has noticed how many people bother spending 95 gems on these fields.... apart from 2-3 naieve newbies, NONE. Tells you how useful they are doesn't it?I know this won't change anything. But at least if they were re-usable if demolished before exhausting, then people might get them (even then they are not worth the gems to everyone). Poor-mans Silo = re-usable Packed Wheatfield.

The confusion over the Packed Wheatfield and Artesian Well in the Architect is long standing:
That players must still search year old threads and and often a Forum for an entirely different server/country for basic information is absurd.
There are many things to love about TSO, repeated oversights and less than crystal clear responses are not among them and this describes far too many people's feelings:
Whilst efforts are clearly being made to improve communication and this is appreciated, the *magic* in the Gift items was a known bug and certainly one that could have been addressed before the weekend.
well- an unlimited item for 95 gems is too good to be true, and as all things that seem too good to be true, they usually are....
and the bug was fixed and came back, probably same time the guild indicator went on the blink again, last time it took like 6 months to fix the guild indicator so u might have a longer stretch of use out of the fields and wells- then again we might be surprised soon and they fix it fast
The fact that an exploit is in game will not speed up the bug fix process though- as the infamous parrot exploit has shown us
Aye, but there is no need for the guessing game. If they were kept in Resources or the Descriptions were actually descriptive there would be no problem.
Apologies, by 'addressed' I meant 'commented on'. The bug hit German servers last Easter when Artesian Wells were sent as Gifts, confirming they functioned properly this time should have been the work of a few clicks. The sending from on high of an email down the ranks would have been helpful but as that did happen all the discussion in chat should have made its way up the ladder and provoked at least an acknowledgement.
People will put up with a lot if they know what is going on, it's when problems and potential problems are kept murky or worse, completely ignored, that frustration takes a firmer hold. It's a shame really, it takes so little effort to avoid those situations.
Right - items description is realy poor in TSO. Looks like made to misslead newbies and suck more money.
There is 2 type of packed wheatfield one from Merchant shp for 95 gems and one BB gift:
1. From Merchant shp for 95 gems
2. From BB gift
Everything with thiswhen you destroy ll go into star, and because of that i didnt thought this is bug.

Bug, is when some functionality is not working as it should be, like history of the TO. Mistake, but definitely not a bug, is when some1 sent you gift, that is misconfigurated item(intentionally or not). What if banking employee enter my 1000 euro deposit into the banking software as 100 Paraguayan guarani? Software bug or mistake?
I, as a developer, can imagine how this could happen:
BB's programmer made separate application that send mass in-game messages to specific players(the test of the application was performed on test server multiple times days before... a lots of messages with gems was received by me). Each message contain items and this items configurations are hardcoded into the "application", because the "application" is not part of the game and therefore can't get directly the configuration of the field/well (e.g. the desired ones). Somewhere between the copy/paste of the configuration into the app, some1 make a mistake and now we have fields/wells that are "buggy".
I understand that BB have to keep balance between player's interest and their own and I'm sure it's not a easy task, but if my imginary scenario is (close to) the truth... "bug" is not the word.
Excuse my English.
