I don't see what seams to be the problem with vet, we can all have 1 easter vet and 2 gem vets, same for all.
Not true. I have 1 Easter Vet and I can only buy 1 more in the shop.
I hope BB are simply trying to (i) restrict the total number of vets any one can have to 2 and (ii) prevent anyone from obtaining more than one from Easter event(s). However, as Bluefairy pointed out, they have not actually covered all the options in their announcements.

For the Easter event, there will only be the veteran available for eggs as the one in the shop will be removed. As our test accounts were wiped to test the Easter event we cannot comment on the availability of the egg vet if players already have veteran generals. For Easter, therefore, anyone who has no veteran generals will be able to only obtain one. I hope that it will be returned for gems after Easter.

    IMPORTANT SUGGESTION!

Please please PLEASE explain more clearly the purpose of the easter adventures available in the merchant. Just saying "you only get eggs via quests" is demonstrably not enough. Was on the test server last night and practically every 10 seconds it was "that adventure was a waste of time, didn't get any eggs for it".

You need to put less focus on the adventures and more focus and explanation on the quests to reverse this common misunderstanding. People think it's all about the adventures, when it isn't. It's about the quests!

So, option 1: explain that the adventures in the merchant are "spare" adventures in case of a server glitch or user error (eg cancelling quest accidentally or running out of time to complete it)

An even better option, and you've still got a month to test it: lock the easter adventures in the merchant until AFTER the relevant quest has started. Making essentially useless adventures available to people from the start of the event is just confusing and entirely defeats the purpose since people are buying them and doing them immediately.

If you don't do something about this confusion, I hope you're ready for a huge number of support messages from people saying "it didn't work" and from others who somehow fail their adventure as part of the quest chain but have already used up their spare from the merchant.

It's not my fault that I never learned to take responsibility.

    What Gerontius said, very much.

    Regarding Event Specialists:

This is what I've been able to glean from assorted Forums, history, anecdotes, and the Test Server. Specialists acquired through retail packs are not counted in these numbers and any corrections are welcome:

Vet Generals: There is a maximum of two. It doesn't matter if they were purchased with gems or Eggs, we can only have two. If you bought two Vets with gems or an Egg Vet last Easter you cannot buy another Egg Vet.

Battle Hardened Gens/Reaper: Edit: There are conflicting reports regarding the maximum, see posts #98, #99, and #100.

Savage Scouts/Experienced Explorers: There is a maximum of twelve. Ten Savage Scouts from the Merchant for gems plus two Experienced Explorers for Eggs at Easter. If you bought an Egg Explorer last year you can only buy one this year.

    Hey guys,

Your suggestions and requests are constructive and fair. I will come back to you when I have some updates and more details.

BB is paying very close attention to the Easter Event feedback (english, german, french, polish etc..all of it)

I understand that some subjects need more clarification.

    Bear with me.

    Thank you

Edited to say: the below was posted at the same time as dant's reply above... it's not intended to be a reply to dant's fair comment! It's a reply to the rebuff from Slash on the test server.

When I posted the same comment on the test server forum, Slash's response was "I'm sure there will be explanations when the event goes live".

So, basically, development have washed their hands of it and it's down to Dantesama to explain things properly here and on the front page news.

If there are 100 questions a day about the event when it goes live, I vote that any regular help lurkers tell people to contact support about it!

The point of testing is so you know how to correct your mistakes, whether those mistakes are purely technological or in terms of the user experience. And while I know there are plenty of people like me who want to and enjoy working things out for themselves, there are other people who want to know what they're doing beforehand and currently the easter event doesn't cater to those people very well.

Resolving the confusion over the adventures available in the merchant, which is the main issue that is apparent on the test server, would be so simple and serve so much benefit.

And to add to that comment:

There are also General Stronghelmets in the game (basically the same as BHG). Have 7 of them and can still buy 6 BHG and could buy the Grimm Reaper during event as well. And that would make 14 of those generals in total, wouldn't know what to do with them, but it is possible.

Thank you Dante, lulu and Shelob81. Someone else had a different experience with the Reaper and BHGs so it will be good to find out how everything is meant to work.

Edit: Stronghelmet was from the retail pack yes? He seems to be outside all the usual limits.
