WILL SOMEONE PLEASE FIX!!!! "Quest completed- defeat 1st bandit camp"

I completed this quest nearly a year ago. Yet, the announcement CONTINUALLY pops up, every 6 minutes. Aside from being annoying, it creates problems within the game. Somehow, it seems to be triggered by the new construction of deep wells.
The other things that it does is:1) Freezes up the transaction in the tradehouse just before it triggers, leaving a tumbling hourglass for 15 minutes; and, 2) it creates some sort of "rollback" and will UNDO gift basket buffs. I've lost a 25 basket buff, more than once.

6 months is "nearly a year"?
Think my calendar needs updating, I still use the old-fashioned 12 month ones.
Although, 6 months is also too long for such a dumb bug to persist, when it merely needs a flag to be reset.
