Argh, so many awesome choices, so little points XD
Also, awesome idea, let's discuss pre's and cons ^^

    Name: Danus1986

    Level 1: MANUSCRIPT
    Hidden Stone Stash -treasure (2/3)
Natural Copper Vein -bigger deposit- (3/3)

    Level 2: MANUSCRIPT
Quality Copper Shafts -mine faster (2/3)
    Natural Stone Vein-bigger deposit (3/3)

    Level 3: TOME
Natural Marble Vein -bigger deposit (3/3)
    Two Iron in One (2/3)

    Level 4: TOME
    Tendentious Geologist-shorter time (3/3)
Gold Mining Surplus-chance getting ore (2/3)
The gold mining points really depend on the amount of ore you get, but I think this is more worth it than the faster coal mines, they're already pretty fast as is.

    Level 5: CODEX
    Hidden Coal Stash-treasure (1/3)
Iron Mining Surplus-chance getting ore (1/3)
    Natural Gold Vein-bigger deposit (3/3)

    Level 6: CODEX
Quality Gold Shafts -mine faster (3/3)
    Ore Collector-Shorter time(2/3)

    Level 7: maximum 1 CODEX
    Natural Born Digger-bigger deposit (1/1)

Nature's Gift sounds great, but in my experience bigger deposits beat the extra marble/iron, usually I'm online often enough to prevent depletion of all deposits anyway.
Lucky Find might be better than Natural Born Digger, but I'd need more info about it to consider it at the moment. Though with the Jolly geologists you can get new deposits relatively fast already.

I have 10 jolly and 3 normal geologists so i don't care about faster searching time nor discover 2 deposits at once. My focus is on bigger deposits.

    Level 1: MANUSCRIPT
    Hidden Stone Stash -treasure (2/3)
Natural Copper Vein -bigger deposit- (3/3)

    Level 2: MANUSCRIPT
    Two Marble in One (0/3)
Quality Copper Shafts -mine faster (3/3)
    Natural Stone Vein-bigger deposit (3/3)

    Level 3: TOME
Natural Marble Vein -bigger deposit (3/3)
Copper Mining Surplus -chance getting ore (3/3)
    Two Iron in One (0/3)

    Level 4: TOME
    Quality Coal Shafts-mine faster)- (3/3)
    Tendentious Geologist-shorter time (0/3)
Gold Mining Surplus-chance getting ore (3/3)

    Level 5: CODEX
    Hidden Coal Stash-treasure (1/3)
Iron Mining Surplus-chance getting ore (3/3)
    Natural Gold Vein-bigger deposit (3/3)

    Level 6: CODEX
    Two Coal in One (0/3)
Quality Gold Shafts -mine faster (0/3) (might messing my schedule)
    Ore Collector-Shorter time(0/3)

    Level 7: maximum 1 CODEX
    Natural Born Digger-bigger deposit (1/1) (5 jolly)
    Nature's Gift-second deposit (1/1) (3 normal)
    Lucky Find-chance get refill (1/1) (5 jolly)

As my player level is 44, level 6 and 7 are locked out, Level 6 skills need player level 45 to unlock, level 7 needs player level 50. So at this point in time I can't fully upgrade my geo's.

Did you make a Tome straight after? They consume a single Manuscript
I'm more than likely working right now.

I got 2 manuscripts so far. When I access the skill tree I see them on the geologist, but not on the jolly geologists. I did do something (I have no idea what) when I was looking at the skill tree. and Upgrade my geologist? Huh? Can someone please make some idiot instructions for people like me who are totally clueless how this works?

Well, each Geologist has their own separate tree, sounds like you may have applied to one Geologist already?
I'm more than likely working right now.

When this was tree thingie for geos was put forward, I was interested and positive for the addition to whatwe can each do.
I saw quite a lot of negative feedback, which was almost like shooting from the hip at the sight of something new.
But now today as I come to realise what I can get from this I am happy beyond belief.
It does mean making a heck of a lot of books of the 3 different kinds.
But that's good as I had thought on day one of this that after a week or so I'd then have to junk the buildings once the skills were learnt, but no this'll be an ongoing thing methinks.
But today before coming here it dawned on me that each seperate geo can have a different setup of skills and can find resources that help me a lot, and I mean a lottttttt.
How [ cool ] is this new skill tree ? Go and explore that tree and come back and tell me it's [ rubbish ], I dare ya.
Lots I say, and I suspect it'll make a big impact on my game as I work out new ways to get it to suit me.

Wow , I feel excited, and gushy, like I've got verbal [ lyricism ], hehehhehhe

I understand you are excited, but please be careful with words chosen,

    Ore Collector-Shorter time(0/3)

    Nature's Gift-second deposit (1/1) (3 normal)

    This is wrong

In the skill tree say minimum use of 30 book but also need to use minimum 5 books of level 6 skill before u can unlock level 7 skill.

It's till early, i hope u haven't upgrade ur jolly yet

To unlock level 7 skill u need to keep minimum books used of each level. (only using 5 books each level)

My apologies. This is correct skill tree

there is no minimum use of 5 books.
However when the science test is just out i'm sure that there is the MINIMUM 5 books for each level
