Happy Birthday TSO !!!
What more could you want than many prints of Battlegirl !!!
This card was made using a technique called the linocut. The linocut is considered an engraving and printing technique derived (at least in a technical sense) from woodcutting. The linoleum cut was invented at the end of the 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th as a result of a search for easier work and less expense. This is precisely what the settlers might have used to do their engraving. This technique was soon used in schools and in the illustration of a variety of "poor man's books" ( see also scraping).
And so, I offer you this humble card full of Battlegirls..... Happy 20th !!!
PS: Hey TSO.... I would have mailed it, but the deadline of the 29th of July was a bit tight... especially with a weekend in there, and that this card would have come from across the pond !!!
