As with previous events - we are using global-4 for event chat.

To change the global channel type: /j global-4

Come and make new friends, see old friends from previous events - support each other, have a laugh (it is a game..), discuss strategy. Stay positive - and if nothing else, let's try and beat UK2 and UK 3

Hope to see you in global-4

    Hello everyone!

    First and foremost...
WE MADE IT ONTO THE SECOND PHASE!!! CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!
AND we did so QUICKLY because we did it TOGETHER!
And perhaps we can do EVEN BETTER for the second phase!!

As such here are a few suggestions you may want to pass onto your fellow guildies.
    WHAT CAN I DO NOW?
Before the event starts we can all stock up in raw materials (water/fish/pinewood log/copper/stones and coal are the cheap ones to convert), ready to be turned into balloons as soon as the second phase starts. There are many ways to do this.
    - build as many water wells as possible, level I is fine. Ask higher level guildies if you need materials to build more.
    - pause all buildings making troops (they take coal, pinewood, copper,...)
    - if you have spare licences, add more fishermen and upgrade them to level 3 since it’s cheap to do. Don't forget to add bread to the lil' fishies!
    - make sure you do not convert pinewood into coal, but extract coal from coal mines. It's much faster and far more efficient!
    - extra: buff some buildings if possible
    - extra: stop adventuring and levelling to save resources

Obviously doing all this will generate LOADS of resources FAST! So how do we store them, especially if we’re running out of space?!
    There are three easy ways:
1 – When you are close to capping on a given resource ask someone to send you an amount of that resource, close to your storage capability. Obviously you will cap as soon as you accept the trade – BUT THE EXCESS will be sent to you STAR MENU. Then all you need to do is send that person back what they sent you – ONLY THAT will come out from your STORAGE SPACE. Hey presto! You have cleared most of what you had in your storehouse and transferred it onto Star Menu! This is by far the best way.
2 – But suppose there’s no one around to trade with? Simple: simply send someone a Trade with whatever amount you want to get rid off. If you arrange previously with that person NOT to accept the trade, you will have 8h until the trade comes declined to you automatically. That’s 8h more hours of production... And even when it comes back to you... you will cap and a portion at least will go to Star Menu – all you need to do is repeat it again...
3 – If you don’t want to send it to anyone – you can put it as a trade within the Trade Office. Do a silly trade that no one will pick up and you will have 6h of production time – that’s how long it takes until those resources come back to you declined.

The other important tip is this: help low level players reclaim sectors and/or build wells and upgrade their storehouses. After all they will have a lot more space than the higher level ones (typically) and all that free space (yummy!) can be plentifully occupied with wells! This means LOW LEVEL PLAYERS can make a HUGE difference in the way we MASS PRODUCE BALLOONS!

    AND HOW ABOUT MAKING BALLOONS?!
NOT until the Second Phase begins! This is why it is so important to stock up in resources so our Provision Houses can be in full swing for a long time converting resources as soon as the next stage of the Anniversary event begins!

Here’s a great link with some more great tips!

Let’s make our Second Phase of the event even better than the First! We can do it! A lot of us are already getting ready – but we can do even more and get more organised!
    Thanks for your support!
    GO NEWFOUNDLAND GO!!!

Just a quick correction here. Do both. Coal mines are super efficient, but if you have cokers don't pause them. Convert as much of your pinewood to coal as possible before making balloons out of it.

Converting pinewood to ballons gives you 1 balloon per 10 pinewood.
Converting pinewood to coal gives you 1 coal per 2 pinewood.
Converting coal to balloons gives you 1 balloon per 4 coal

Which means that converting pinewood to coal before converting to ballons will improve the ratio from 10:1 to 8:1, a significant increase in efficiency.
