I couldn´t be bothered with looking through all 51 pages and see if these ideas, or a version of them, have been posted before. If so, I apologize.

Shieldmaiden - Melee unit, 120 hp, 15-30 dmg, 90% accuracy. Special abilities - Provocative = 50% chance of trample-units attacking this unit instead of weakest. Armoured = 50% penalty to enemy accuracy.

Attack dog - Melee unit, 5 hp 0-5 dmg 70% accuracy. Special abilities - First strike & Trample. Basically a light cavalry.

Chariot - Melee unit, 60 hp, 20-40 dmg 85% accuracy. Special abilities - First strike. Basically a heavy cavalry, but if it had trample, it´d be too good.

Hand gunner - Ranged unit, 20 hp, 45-90 dmg, 50% accuracy(!). Special abilities - Cautious. Basically an unreliable version of xbows, but one that uses saltpeter & gunpowder in production.

All of these unit ideas can be made to use resources which are now valued way too low compared to the difficulty in procurement (for instance, saltpeter for handgunners, wheels/carriages for chariots and titanium bars for shieldmaiden´s armour).
