    [Contest] Avid Adventurers: Create-An-Enemy

    Avid Adventurers
    CREATE-AN-ENEMY

    CONTEST STARTS: 18/9/2013
    CONTEST ENDS: 2/10/2013

These are dire times. Sometimes you gotta play the bad guy-- and that's what we want you to do in this contest! Your mission should you choose to accept it is to devise a positively malicious, fearsome (or even bumbling) enemy that you envision encountering on an adventure battlefield.

Is he a fat merchant that's after nothing but gems? A particularly grouchy poodle? A lady valkyrie with long, luxurious hair?

Your evil-osity is limitless-- think outside the box and create the most imaginative, most villainous enemy ever!

    How do I enter?

You can enter in two ways.

You can either draw a picture of the enemy or write a description of the enemy.

If you choose to draw, your drawing can be traditional media or digital media, PEGI-7 appropriate and your own work. You may use photo-manipulation and edit existing images of Settlers Online enemies if you like, but be as creative as you can!

If you choose to write, your description must include:
    - Enemy's Name
    - Description of the Enemy (no more than 200 words)
    - Optionally, you may include data like HP (hitpoints), how much EXP they give, etc. but this is not required.

Great! Well, I'm off to go make the evillest, most terr--

    BUT WAIT. There's more!

You can gain extra prizes for creating the 'other half' to someone's entry.

    For example:

Person A draws The Big Bad Banana Bird. Person B really likes this idea, so Person B writes the description for this enemy.

Person A writes the evillest description for The Curly Cook. Person B loves evil cooks, so they draw what they imagine this villain looks like.

    So, the rules in summary?

    - You can enter two original entries-- so you can submit one drawing, and one blurb. They cannot be of the same imagined enemy.
    - If you are submitting an original entry, you must state that this is your original entry.
    - You can create 'the other half' of any number of entries. You must state the user and post you are responding to.
    - All entries must be posted in this thread, and conform to PEGI-7 rules.
    - You cannot create the other half/reply to an entry that is already replying to an original. (i.e. you can't create replies of replies)

    - Your username must be in the picture somewhere!

    What loot do we get?

Best Original Drawing: 1500 + Forum Title of the Enemy's Name (you can decline this! )
Best Original Description: 1500 + Forum Title of the Enemy's Name (as above)

    Best Response Drawing: 1500
    Best Response Description: 1500

    MOD's Pick (Drawing): 500
    BB's Pick (Description): 500

(NOTE: You can only win one of these prizes!)

    Character Name: Barktholomew

The woodland creatures and elves usually lived in peace with humans, staying unseen happy to observe humanity's folly. One Tree could not abide it. Discarding the peaceful existence the Centaurs and Satyrs and all his other friends had been living Barktholomew decided Humans needed to learn their place, and that wasn't his forest. Barktholomew gathered all who would follow him by his side and they trained. As Zomies walked the Earth they trained, as it snowed they trained and when Autumn came they were ready to take back what Humans had so easily claimed as their own.

    Character Name: The Frozen Horror

As a child, Fred hated winter. Every Christmas the kids in the small village bullied him for not getting any Christmas presents and every winter they threw snowballs at him. Fred came to grow up as a scientist studying the secrets of unique snow crystals and one day an experiment went horrible wrong and Fred got affected by the chemicals. He became The Frozen Horror and from that day he roams the small village every winter and puts fear in all people in the town.

When The Frozen Horror is close to you, day becomes night and you can feel the cold penetrating every inch of your body. The Frozen Horror eliminates anyone who comes too close by grabbing them and freezing them to ice with a cold breathe of ice and snow. If you feel a cool breeze moving along your spine and seeing the light disappear the only thing to do is to run since The Frozen horror doesn't spare anyone. No one knows how he can move that fast but rumor says that he moves fast by using the snow on the ground.

    This is Fred now:

This is NOT my art but it gives a good picture of my villain.

Might be the perfect enemy for Christmas Event. He is a first striker but is quite vulnerable once you get in position to attack him.
Side note: Fred has +50 resistance to ice but -50 resistance to fire. Also, if you feel a snowball hit you - you better run.

    Original Description
Character Name: Lady Of The Light
    Exp: N/A
    Ability: Resurrection

After hearing that about a year ago that their enemies had the Grim Reaper on their side the bandits searched high and low for a person of myth and legend the combat him. After nearly a years worth of searching they fou d absolutely nothing, so they did what most do at times like this and decided to just make one up and hope that of enough people believed she would come into being. Against all odds (and probability) it actually happened.

At the end of battle that is entirely one sided and a camp get wiped out in a single wave she may appear and meander around the field of battle, feeling sad for the brave and valiant troops who battled to the end inspite them being so overwhelmed and out matched she will randomly resurrect between 1 and 25% of those who laid down their lives in defence of their home. Camp leaders are not awarded such leniency from The Reaper as to be honest they really should have been smart enough to call for help from neighbouring camps.

Not evil or terrifying I know but just imagine the look on a recruits face to see those who have recently been killed suddenly rise to fight again, also for a tactical point of view it is pure evil.

    Original description
Character Name: The Insidious Forget-me-nots of Doom

The general has rallied his troops for the long march into battle. There is a wooded area ahead and men are detailed to look for hidden wolves and other creatures that may be waiting to ambush the army. None can be found; the wood appears open and filled with small blue flowers. There is a heady scent in the air and the flowers remind the recruits of their flowerbeds at home. One soldier stops to gather some of the flowers and inhales their scent. He relaxes and decides to gather some more, encouraging his comrades to do the same. Laughter and jokes are heard, the atmosphere is relaxed and one by one the troops sit down and begin to dream of home. They forget their orders, they have no idea where they are or what they should be doing. Some time later the general emerges from the wood alone. He dismounts from his horse and retraces his steps. Ah, he spies some small blue flowers that he hadn't noticed before. They remind him of home.

    Original description
    Character Name: Bees-el-bub

Found near magma vents, these insect-like spawn from the underworld lie in wait for foolish adventurers who travel too close to their domain. They attack ferociously with their single large poisoned barb protruding down from their backs, which is immediately fatal to those they impale. After the attack the Bees-el-bub's barb breaks off, damaging their otherwise frail bodies, and they soon also perish from their wounds.

    Abilities:
    Damage: Special
    HP: 30
Deathtouch (Enemies damaged by this unit immediately die regardless of total health)
Weak Form (This unit dies after making a successful attack)

Demons abound in this land of peaceful settlers, but this Demon is different...how different? You may well ask....here is the answer!!!
This Demon is not typical, it doesnt have horns instead it has poisonous goo oozing from its somewhat pimply, warty, leathery coating. Its head looks like Frankenstein, but instead bolts it has lighting coming from its neck just below the ears. A small but gregarious and foul smelling worm like nest is on his head, which is supposed to be hair. He shoots buckshot from his maggot like toes, and foul smelling black ooze from his worm like fingers. My friends its time to rid the land of this monster...but how? I neglected to tell you, should you touch this demon (thing) you will NOT survive for anymore than 5 seconds and there is no antidote, also his eyes are laser beams, but deadly and deadly accurate.
