    There is no progress indicator for population nowhere, and yet it grows. The "zzz" on paused buildings means only transportation to storehouse will not begin until unpause the building. In certain case the production time begins by unpause, otherwise the transportation. This works like this over more then on year, so if it were thought by devs to an exploitation, they have had enough time to fix it. Anyway, if stop a building when settler is on the way, he will not sleep on the road or in the storehouse, so I think it is a consistent behavior: the pausing point is the begining or ending point of production phase.

    This is how it worked last year and no different last year. If it was a bug or exploit they had a year to fix it and didn't. In fact all work yards seem to work this way too - it's just that very few have production times so long that it becomes really noticeable. Hardly an exploit.

    but you don't get extra pumpkin when buff the fields. you just collect the pumpkins faster. so all buffing is useless. on your field is written - 100 pumpkins, no matter if you collect them by 1,2,3 they are 100 and after depletion of the field you will have 100,not 300.

    That's incorrect, buffing works on the fields in the same way as other workyards. It increases the number of resources gathered per tick, it does not increase the rate of depletion... If you buff your pumpkins with a fish platter as they are about to tick over you will get 2 pumpkins instead of 1 and the number in your field will drop by 1 not 2.
