You're right, adding 1R is much more economic than switching to C

Bandit Nest with 2 x MMA final camp, replace the MG set up and use 2nd MMA with:

This can probably be improved up tho
As the first MMA kills the Dogs, you can use a few Cav to make sure all the Rangers die before they get to attack, saving a few extra recruits and requiring less cannons:From G3 and G4 to camp 3 leader: 1 metal tooth 50 guard dog 60 ranger 80 ranger
G3: 1R (1R)
G4: 70R 1ES 149k (49R - 60R - 70R)
68R 1E 10C 141K
ML is now better started on the left side, around 15R lower losses.
100 Gunmen, 100 Petty Officers
MMA 146R 54K (126R - 136R - 146R)
I haven't tested if all 3 traps have to be killed, when you start from the left side.
Edit: Tested now, and you still must kill all 3 traps, so not much gain, but no need to transfer.
