    PH2 and map fragments

The PH2 is worth it, but map fragments are now virtually worthless and it seems pretty pointless sending scouts out looking for adventures unless they come back with a Nords these days.

Many-a-player's trade system has collapsed as mfs are now trading at just 2gcs a piece (if you're lucky). Whilst I welcome BB's new content, the economy seems to be in decline in this instance and I really don't know where this is going to lead in the future - or maybe there's a bigger picture we don't yet know about?

I truly hope BB add the More Secluded Experiments and Return to Bandits Nest to the adventure finding haul (rather than to be purchased for mfs in store later), else my scouts are virtually redundant in this regard...

These are just my own thoughts on this issue, please feel free to add yours...

all i can think of is that they want to recycle old players who have stuck around too long for new players who buy gems

Unfortunately i already invested books on my explorers' skills for finding more map fragments. I also lost around 10k gc for stockpiling 2k mf and 5 BK adventures.

Life is life. Didn't happened elseway many times. But don't panic, hold your breath and wait a few days. Prices of papers and nibs will raise soon over the clouds, becouse not enough on market. And when everyone has bought all of advs in merchant, try to sell the rest MFs. And then map fragment get a bit stronger again, becouse them resources were more expensive...

Honestly I gave up sending explorers for adventure searches ages ago so its a real boon to me, plus it actually gives some variety to the adventures I can now do. I do think its a shame that those who very recently invested heavily in explorers are now feeling aggrieved. I think there must come a point soon where there should be a free refund of all books invested, maybe run it for a month or so.

For god sake, why do you think so? Prices fluctuates of gamers own volition and it is a common behavior. There is no and should not be any morality in this. Instead of moralizing should be circumspect.

Firstly. It is rely on demand. Nearly all the products are consumable arbitrary amount, anyway. The exceptions are e.g. the books: they are not tradable and need only a certain amount. Whilst this amount could be well-planned, its resources are not so. Though resources are tradable, but theoretically could be a situation when no one need more, then rest become garbage and related buildings too. Insomuch as they more or less resource-intensive, would not be wise to let them remain for nothing, also replan and rearrange a half economic system when science system looks ready. So the gameplay balance...

Secondly. Map fragments price calculation was unequivocal on resources basis (gc+sausages), so it was nearly invariable before the sci.sys. When sci.sys came, the personal priorities, investments (to reduce resources) and so on made differences between gamers calculations, consequently prices started to differ, mostly got lower in TO, day by day slowly. So "those who very recently invested heavily in explorers" are as much a cause of changes, even if at first it does not seem to. So no cause to feel aggrieved.

Thirdly. I can't remember, anyone complained about price of water and marble at halloween event. Why? it was a good business nearly without risks? Market is such like this. Sometimes above, other times below. A few day price fluctuation is not the end of the world, nothing collapsed. The use and popularity of MF is changing, and will find its place in eco system soon, on all the TSO players' decision, like other stuffs did and do continuously.

Ive also only just noticed that Stealing from the Rich is not available from mfs, so there's still another reason to send my scouts out. Not as bad as I first thought as trades still to be had on that score

Unfortunately there wont be no refund in books already spent. I too invested in find more mfs, (3 tomes each on 14 fast scouts) ouch! Im not too bothered about the mfs as ill never need to make them (I use those resources to make books all day long), but the price of book resources has shot up because of these changes. At least now can we finally have a building queue for the bookbinder? I think its long overdue.
