so what level can the magic beans be used at? ive been playing the game for a while but only came across them in the advent calender. and thanks for all the previous info, very helpful

Check the epic items tab in the shop (chest icon).
Most items have a level requirement, hold your mouse over the lock icon and it will tell you what level you need. If there's no lock, there's either no req, or you're high enough.
