But i was wondering what happens to the candy canes, ginger bread men and bells we had left in our collections?
They're still around but you can only see them in the Trade Office, they hide in the same place the regular ones do if you get any before level 16 when the tab arrives in the Mayor. Click the Scales -> Offer or Cost -> to find them easily untick everything but Miscellaneous.

Np Bigfafawok, it's an obscure little spot. It's handy though if you have more than 1k of something, if you mouse over it it'll show the exact number unlike the very vague numbering in the Mayor.
Ha! Busted! Erm... I kept forgetting them. When the collectible buffs were freaking out the Bookbinder and making it reset constantly I got out of the habit of making things in the Mayor and, well...
I really really hope they do!
