This is what the page linked says
Get a fast, free web browser.

    Get Google Chrome
New! For Mac OS X 10.6 or later

I'm waiting for the day when bb and ubi wakes up to the fact that flash is dead and the future belongs to html5.

On the positive side thank god settlers doesn't need silverlight.
    thumbs up!

    Hello audiocapture,

Do you know if your Mac is Intel or PowerPC?

    Thanks,

    Hi audiocapture,

That's good news, if you're absolutely sure - you can update your operating system to Snow Leopard, that will take you to OS 10.6.

Remember to triple check compatibility .

    Best of luck,

For those of you with Linux, might I suggest checking for updates then try again. I'm running Fedora 20 with Firefox 26.0 and Flash 11.2.202.335 (latest for Linux) and it's working fine for me. Curiously about 2hrs ago I also had the error message about needing a newer version of flash but it's gone now and the game seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the feedback so far.
So for those wondering a quick summary:

    Using windows
You have no problems and can just install the newest flash player if the game asks you to.

    Using linux
Chrome still works out of the box.
Chromium needs some configuration to use the build-in flash plugin. (see the links in this post)
And reading this post it should be possible to update to Flash Player 11.2 and use your normal browser. [CONFIRMED]

    Using Mac OS X
All versions below 10.5 are using a powerpc architecture, and haven't found a solution/workaround for them
Mac OS X 10.5 (powerpc architecture): Unfortunately not supported anymore, not found a solution/workaround
Mac OS X 10.5 (intel architecture) support chrome version 21, but couldn't find what flash version is included there (download can be found here) -> Unfortunately not supported anymore, but you can upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6 or higher (Snow Leopard)
Mac OS X 10.6 and higher can just install the lastest flash player when asked by the game

yes, I second that. It was not working this morning and it's working now, so I think they reverted it, or at least changed something to still allow 11.2
