Maybe I am missing something, but what does "GDR" stand for?
GDR = RPG = role-playing game)
Okay :-) would never have guessed that! Not sure how that would work within TSO?
the personalization of the island is another big piece of underestimated feature from my POV......
heheh , what i meant is: does anyboby have a cool looking island ? or you just put your buildings in a strictly efficence disposition??
I dislike asymmetrical designs that are haphazard and disorganised. Most players are perfectly happy to construct buildings wherever there is a free space, irrespective of surroundings. But it's a completely different matter when irregular placement is intentional and has obvious character, like yours. My island is organised and reasonably efficient, bordering on OCD.

I don't have anything on my island that has no function
Quite happy that I finally got to make my "Twin Kingdom Valley" diorama (look it up kids) in S9, took over two years and 435 SFTRs, but I finally got the White castle needed to complete it from a random Xmas Box.
We love our new CM.
Newfoundland: 20th November 2011 to 25th November 2014. RIP
It was good while it lasted.
I'm making big park with industrial areas:
sector 1 - I have parking for generals
sector 2 - just 2 exotic wood sawmills and gold mines, pirate residences around tavern...
sector 3 - hardwood sawmills and more nice parks
sector 4 - pinewood cutters and foresters
sector 5 - place for fairy castle I have in plain to buy
sector 6 - coking plants and recyclers
sector 7 - hardwood cutters and foresters
sector 8 - marble masons
sector 9 - gold area (gold mines, gold smelters, coinages, golden tower)
Everywhere I have nice parks with lot of deco and some residences for settlers:
