I wonder if there are any plans to do something for the Valentine's event? I personally have enjoyed the events so far (except the balloon thing!), and especially had fun over Christmas. The only calendar event before Easter is really Valentines- maybe it would be an opportunity to introduce females onto the island? Maybe a female BHG? New collection items such as hearts, love letters, flowers, and chocolates for new buffs to create in the Mayor's House maybe?
Another event would be pretty sweet. Something to do while we wait for those big updates we want :P Crisis quest would do the trick.

It offers very poor value per gem and you would be better served saving them for something such as Improved silo when they arrive.
On the main subject of community events, much as I love a good event what makes them special is their frequency. If you have one every 5 minutes they are no longer special. This year you have Easter, the world cup, Halloween and Christmas to look forwards too. Maybe an odd 1 day 'special day' might be called for such as Valentines Day but further than that it's probably greedy to expect a load more free stuff.
What the game needs is something that players can do that livens things up a bit on a daily basis, not just flash in the pan events every few months.

Agree: crisis quest, not community event.
BB, this game becomes boring, many of my friends have closed it after lvl 50 and only waiting for PvP. What will happen?
Oddly, if you check 'Archive' => 'Military' => 'Crisis Quest' it distinctly says the current one ends on June 6th... Best get busy
