    Mercenary Generals

    Hi,

I was wondering if the concept of mercenary generals had been considered in the past?

It would be useful if needing to replace a general when a general lost a battle by mistake and the adventure is about to end, to carry more troops to the adventure if all the other generals were busy, or just need another general for an adventure.

The only downside that I can see is that the cost might be too high for most middle level players.

Please let me know what you think,

    Mrs_Herb

Like a veteran general or major general that already exists?

    Not quite PChamps...

I believe what Mrs_Herb is describing is like the 'Merecenary Recruits' you can get. A General that can be hired for one adventure, at any time, for gems.

For those times when all your generals are either dead, travelling, or too far away to be able to complete an adventure before the time limit expires, you can buy a 'Mercenary General', and place his garrison anywhere on the adventure map, ready to attack. Load him with troops and send him off...

I would assume that this mercenary never goes home to your island, and any troops that he was commanding get sent back the slow route.

A nice idea, although I'd be very unlikely to use it. A little careful planning should negate the need for this, but I agree, it would be nice to have something to fall back on in an emergency.

Ah ok I get it. Careful planning should ensure this is something you never need but mistakes do happen from time to time. I guess at level 50 its not so bad as you can buy things like ranged support for star coins which could attack a camp for you.

At a medium price, I would hire a Mercenary General occasionally.
    The reason?
Sometimes, all of my "slow" generals are recovering after a series of failed blocks, but if I had just 10 more minutes, I might actually complete that adventure now before going (to work/shopping/seeing friends), an investment well worth it: When returning to the game later, my troops are home, ready for more business.

    A Mercenary Blocker is sometimes.
Oh, and for that matter: I already got 3xVet and 1xMajor - still, another Mercenary Vet could (in cases like HLT) seriously cut down waiting times.
