I prefer out of game methods, BB ain't all powerfull enough yet to introduce a bug to the humble pencil.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's

I'd tend to agree that while some note making in the game could have some value, it would just be an extra load on the system and I also work with combinations of TextPad, spreadsheets and Timer reminders for important buffs and such. I don't think I'd use an in-game feature very much.
Sorry, but I've slept since then...

This suggestion has come up from time to time over the years:

While "Just get a pen and bit of paper" is a common reply, as is "Here are a number of ways outside the game to store things" these seem rather to miss the point. It would, simply, be convenient and keep people in-game more if there was some sort of ready way of making Notes To Self. Mailing yourself works, until things get buried in buff mails or battle replays, guild notes are handy ~ if one is in a guild. Cat stole your pencil? Pen ran dry? Child ate your crayon? Potter off and hunt up... something... For those who play on multiple computers for brief periods it seems most helpful.

There have been a number of times I've quietly wished I could jot a quick note in-game, one easily found again, but since I am in a guild and can generally lay hands on paper and a pencil/pen/crayon, or mail myself I make do. That doesn't make the idea any less useful.

The most reasonable objections appear, to me, to be bug and load related. Like the Economy Overview which isn't actually needed if one just does the math, in Ye Olde Days the only way of doing things, a notepad isn't Vital, but there are times it would be really nice. If it doesn't cause more problems than it solves.

    All merged, thank you!

I do understand 'why' some are asking for this. I just prefer an outside of game note and there are loads of options. In game I whisper myself a temporary note sometimes.

or why not make a huge ingame notepad on your own group forum If you list your buffs on there and timings you can invite a friend to the group to see the list when you go on holiday. You dont have to log into your isle to see it either. So if you forget something you can add a note for your friend.
