I am getting the same things in Chrome...
However strangely, if you open up Chrome Incognito mode it works fine (hold Ctr-Shft-N)
So that might be a work around for those using chrome.

On macbook pro it worked after logging out, closing safari, quitting safari, reopen en delete cookies (only for thesettlersonline).

UPDATE:

Please try the following steps:
1. If you are already logged in, please log out, close all browser windows and close the browser
2. Please delete the cache and cookies
3. Clear the DNS cache

Now this is a bit tricky, however this is how it's done for Win7:
Go to Start, type in cmd in the "Search programs and files" field and then a pop-up will open.
Type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter.

For mac 10.7 and 10.8: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
For mac 10.5 and 10.6: sudo dscacheutil -flushcache

4. Try logging in again

Still after trying all posts,am unable to connect using my normal Chrome browser. Have managed to connect on IE but prefer my normal browser,which up until this morning after maintainence worked fine

If you can log in IE but not in chrome then this might work (you might have missed that post):

I cant log in to the game on internet explorer, tried the following steps BB suggested, still not working. Can log in and play on Chrome though.

ravel, tried your posiible solution no good for me, please give update, i havn`t been able to log in since maintenance, very frustrating what will happen about daily gifts will we be starting with nothing again and what about guild quests
