Martial arts gen - whats he like?

I couldn't resist it, i bought eggs in the market, got them from explorers and some from the merchant too, and i got it......

Great, not sure what to do now, there are no guides for using him and fiddling in the combat simulator, i am not seeing he is so great, though i have only tried him out in nords.

Does anyone else have him or try him out on testing server? Have you used him, is he great or rubbish or just okay? Please someone tell me he is fab but i am just not using him to his full potential, cos it was a lot of eggs.

You tried a first strike general in an adventure that's known for being full of last strike enemies? No wonder you didn't think he helped much...!!

Able to skip a lot of cavs should make the MMA pretty much useful in nords as a MG, shouldn't it?
25/11-14 , 23/02-16 .. The end is coming and it will look like this .

But for nords you need a lot xbows, cav can you only 2-3 camps.
on camp when you use cav already is without losses or with very small losses.

not good for nords, surprise attack

I tried it in BK alongside my vets and it was pretty good there, making very short work of bows (of all kinds) and cavalry, on a bk ls it killed 90 cav from the 90c 90es camp with only the gen and 1r, so not recommended for normal ls (We just wanted to see how much damage he could do)

What ever else works with MMA gen i suppose depends largely on what units he has with him and what units he is attacking and perhaps will try him again in a nords adv and see what works.

All round so far i quite like him, but i wouldn't swap my vets.

Additionally a guild friend pointed out that the MMA was very good in the easier adv's DP pirate etc and so perhaps good for lower lv members and i would have thought the opposite, but there you go.

So, in your opinion, if you were buying a new general you would choose a vet in preference to a MMA? I am currently about to make my choice.

Hiya, I would take the mma over the vet any day but if I didn't have the 3 floaters this year, or the explorer I would probably take the vet + explorer + as many floaters as I could and leave the mma.
