This Event is here to accompany the world cup 2014.
This event starts on the 12th/13th of June and will end on the 15th of July
Some things I could do with feedback on is Lucky explorer returns : length of search, skills and the exact returns please
It takes elements from previous events such as, Euro 2012 and Christmas 2013, From the Euros we borrow the adventure maps, But instead of fighting camps we must use buffs from our provision house/rarity provision house to do battle against skills.
From the Christmas 2013 event we take the popular event calendar, In here we find lots of goodies, ranging from normal everyday resources (normal shaded squares) To Special rewards for example floaters (highlighted squares) The 7 new adventures are hidden behind the 7 green doors.
I am going to run through a few tips that I feel could benefit others.
TIPS
Please do not start any football matches until a quest requests that you do, It is creating many issues in the game for players and is very simple to avoid.
Going by early football price indications it is looking likely that selling 2499 footballs, You could easily get way more coin that a friary sells for on the TO. at least on newfoundland anyway, This is not by a small margin either!! Please spend wisely as you don't want to look back in 6 months with regrets. (please do your own calculations based on To prices)
Try to upgrade your Provision house to at least level 3 or 4.
You must be level 16 to be able to play this, But fear not you have time to level up!! Get cracking.
For the newer player amongst us, Try to buy/gain as many explorers as you can, Upgrade them with manuscripts etc. While upgrading them aim for the treasure search time reductions and find more treasure, The event will be upon us soon use the time to prepare.
While on test I did the adventures as I earned them, one at a time day by day. This taught me that I wasn't really maximising the possible football income, Instead it would be far more efficient to save all the adventures up and do them in a 24hour period while using a premium time buff. You can do this one of two ways, Either ignore the quest chains till your ready, Or where it says "begin the practice match" just start a random normal adventure, this will let you continue.
The first thing your going to be confronted with when you log in for the first morning of the event will be, New collectables and a new quest, Please refrain from collecting all your collectables right away, In that first quest chain you will find (example) "find a fist on your home island" However if you have already found them all its going to be a long 8 hour wait for the respawn.
You can use the new buff in the merchant under epic items its called "Rain of arrows" at a cost of 120 star coins. If you are going to use these I would advise you to save them for the harder matches (goalkeepers) seem to be a good option to kill off with these as one ROA clears the entire camp.
I would advise you not to start the adventures until you know you can complete them, If you start one and cant finish it, You are going to end up getting locked in and unable to play your regular adventures, Its not like you can just send an extra gen over with more troops, It can be a long wait for explorers to return or collectables to respawn.
You will be creating your buffs either in the provision house or the rarity provision house, These do offer the same buffs the costs are identical so its whatever is convenient for you, All the resources needed can be self found from either explorers, Quests or on your island, Normal adventures, You can also trade for them.
You can gain footballs in a number of ways, First up by finding them on your home island, much the same as you can find herbs, Also by sending your explorers on treasure hunts, Third by completing the quest chain/adventures, Finding them behind the calendar doors, normal adventures and trading for them.
Each skill has 2 buffs that can remove it, You only need to create one buff per skill, Lower down I have written for example (Red card/Foul) Where this is written you only need to create one of them two choices. If you see this * followed by a number, This indicates there is more than one skill, therefore multiple buffs are required.
The first quest chain has a sub quest called "Championship scout" this requires you to find items via short treasure search's (see below for more info), Bare this in mind when you first log in and start to send your explorers out.
As with all other events it is possible to gain footballs after the event finishes via explorers, Make sure you send out your explorers on the longest possible treasure search just before the last maintenance. That last day I personally will be using short/medium search's to utilize as much of the time I can, before send them all out on very long search's as late as possible, Timing is everything here!
It stands to reason that the price of adventures will go up some during the event (normal adventures) Due to everyone's explorers doing treasure search's and none looking for adventures. I would also expect granite to go up in value too, as people try and upgrade to level 6. I know time is running short now, prepare as best you can.
The event will refer to "strikers" and "forwards", Treat these as the same position.
Explorers
The upgrades I used were T hunt time reductions and "sturdy shovel", Premium time does not affect the explorer returns.
