maybe I'm really more of a dunce about time zones than I thought, but isn't the server down an hour before it should be? I thought BST was an hour off of GMT.

Yeah Northisle is down 1/2 hour earlier than is posted on front page as well
how irritating. that was part of the reason the changed the time from 00:30 to 00:15, to stop the complaints about getting kicked out early
Not sure where to put it, but it fits as technical, maybe.
A few minutes ago, 1:40 CET, chat servers went offline. 5 mins after, same with game server.
This is VERY annoying, since I was just doing SotV, and wanted my normal gens to start recovering before mt starts. When you put a time for mt, DO NOT start half an hour earlier, please!

Guild quests: Will be reset
00:46 BST, maintenance starts from nowhere, all gold & expensive chains running cause one is waiting until at least 1:00 before turning them off... so now, what, just screwed eh?, lvl5 mines will run out of minerals, banked minerals will be inefficiently used to the point where you will be losing wealth... never middle road, either it takes 40 minutes to be on time or you just go and run it before the scheduled time, impressive work, golf-clap.
yes same here sent final 2 blocks and last attack as server went down i am not going to be happy in the morning if its failed this company is just getting worse and worse it used to be good they sorted the bugs out and issues where dealt with where as now like every other online gaming company the bugs get swept under the carpet unless they are bugs that help the players they get sorted straight away its all about then next thing they can try to sell to us that they care about

As we are all aware Bluebyte are in a world of their own. They do what they want, when they want.
00:46 BST is approximately 01:15AM BST.
People need to learn that when BB says approximately, do not presume it will take place exactly at that time or a few minutes either way. Plan accordingly. This is how its been for years, so to expect anything else really points to questionable behaviour on the player's part.
When they say it starts at 1AM, presume it starts at midnight.
When they say it finishes at 7am, presume it finishes at 8am.
They said 'approximately'. Not exactly, not 'on the dot', not 'after', but 'approximately'.
And approximately does not mean whatever you may think it means in your head, but means what BB thinks it means in their head. And starting 30 minutes early well falls in within a valid definition of approximately.
This is how it is for years, this is how it will be in the future. Rather than trying to squeak out 5 extra minutes of game time before maintenance, plan accordingly with buffer then you'll not have any troubles.
