When playing full-screen, whenever my mouse pointer moves anywhere near the top of the screen an enormous gargantuan huge phenomenally large big blob appears. Please please can we have an option to shrink it or ignore it or even better send it to the next galaxy.

That's a warning from flash that you're in full screen mode, it's outside the realms of Blue Byte. You'll have to ask Adobe.

Ah - in that case I would be extremely surprised if there wasn't a call() that you could make to the flash player interface which allowed control over the warning so it should be very simple for BB to add a tiny amount of code to deal with a huge blob
You can use full screen provided by your browser. That is not done by adobe, so that big huge blabla will not come at top edge tuch -- probably comes something else.
