I used a MMA in Witch of the Swamp. Had no soldiers on me, but "Overkill - do not use soldiers" did not complete. I did have elites, but it specifically mentions those as being okay, so that can't be it.
I personally have had MMA fails with regard to "use" of: ranged* (DP); soldiers (WoTS); cavalry (SFTR) and today Militia (SA). This leaves only 2 types of unit personally untested, recruits and elites and frankly I am not going to bother to test these, I just won't use the MMA on any adv with a "use no" requirement.
Simply put, it seems that the use of the MMA will trigger the "use" of any unit type and fail any achievement that relies on it. It will not fail a "lose less than x" achievement.
*Which presumably means it will also fail any of the 3 archers and Cannoneers.
Used Martial Artist attacks extensively in a Secluded Experiments today...
All four achievements popped without a problem... which was nice! :-)
I finished 3 adventures (Island of the Pirates, Motherly Love and Dark brotherhood) I didn't accomplish last achiements (use only rec, don't use crossbow etc), I used MMA
I din't get reward for some achiement (Motherly love less than 2 hours)
I have also problem with red mountains.
Red Mountain achievement is not related to this topic, but you need to use a geologist with three points in skill Natural Copper Vein.
mountain problem: I know doesn't cause MMA, it's just a comment may be a correlation. Not enough 3 mines for me (and many players) have to 6 mines!
IOTP - I used MMA and the quest for Using just recruits did not complete ....
Is anyone knows if we use Cavalry for blocks, in an "No cavalry" achivement, if it works?
