Merge and split for Star menu resource items

Here are some benefits
1) Merging multiple items of same type will decrease the number of items in a query
2) By allowing same type items to be merged we might be able to actually find things we are looking for in star
3) The reduced number of items to be sent to the html client will decrease latency and improve overall gaming experience

I remember one of the system administrators mentioning in a backstage video that just the Russian database instance is over 200GB. Allow merging of same type items (stacking) and save space and most important time to make queries.

Merging buffs, and misc items i'm all for. But merging resources would defeat the purpose of storehouses, so not gonna happen.

and by the looks of how BB are avoiding this, i'd say they have the same code for entire star menu and fix for one of them would mean fix for all star items = not going to happen cus of storehouse idea .

I'd still love if they gave it a shot and made the buffs and misc stackable

You cannot trade the Resource Items in you SH, nor transfer them, nor do anything except look at them.... or add them to Store.
You are completely reliant on the Storehouse Capacity to gain any benefit to the resources you hold.
The Very Idea of Star holding resources was probably a bad one in the first place, It could be fixed - no more resources held in star, period.
Stars purpose should be left for the interaction with specialists,
possibly keep in place buffing - although a simple USE-->[ITEM] button in the Mayors House would resolve the need for this
Obviously - to not disadvantage those holding significant assets in star - an adjustment to the storehouse capacity, would be needed.
