If you are over population its because it has been fixed now but while bugged you built extra troop that the bug allowed you to do.

If you are over population kill of troops or build more population buildings.

No, I'd been at max population for several weeks, always showing 4520/4520.
Only adv I did was a lootspot, and that was no losses (although the 1r didn't add back in on return).
Nothing has changed on there, I haven't made troops, haven't llost any, and not built or destroyed any residences.
The only thing that has changed is the maintenance, so their so-called "fix" lasted less than 2 days.

then I would suggest send ticket to support as the maint DID fix the known population bug and as that only started 10 days ago and you say weeks in your case then I suspect with you not doing adv yours is due to the previous population bug fixed in feb that started at xmas, the bug I am discussing and was posted as the bug HAS been fixed.

No, I did NOT have the bug prior to this, it was introduced during the "emergency maintenance" to fix the football event.
If the bug was ever fixed as stated, it only lasted 2 days then broke all over again.
