It's neither a bug, nor a technical issue, just terrible design.
They should severely reduce the odds for barrels and be done with it.
Up about 80% of my finds are barrels... I've got nearly 2000 of them and I cant flog them because no ones buying!!!
You have failed to explain why you think this is a bug.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
