    Explorer Bonus for Premium

OK, let's imagine that the "Explorer Bonus" which is currently active would be added as an additional benefit to Premium.

    Pro:
    - Premium more useful.
    - Explorers more useful for Premium members.
    - It actually makes sense to use Long/Very Long Treasure Searches

    Con:
    - Free players miss out.

Points 1 & 2 are basically the same but yes I can see your argument.
As for point 3 well anything shorter than a long is a total waste of sending a explorer out in the first place for me, so I will have to disagree with you.
Are you sure free players would miss out because from what I see they are able to obtain premium days without gems if they are of a high enough level.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's

Just to elaborate why I named both of them: Some players find "Premium" to be lacking for anything except the occasional boost to adventure loot.
    1) As explorers are something more consistent on a day-by-day basis, the Explorer boost would be more valuable as a consistent, ongoing source of income, not just as a onetime boost.
    2) As it stands, a Premium member doing even just one single Fairytale adventure will benefit roughly 10,000 coins (on Northisle) from Premium, which is quite significant. Having 22 Explorers total, they bring back an average of maybe 1500 coins worth of loot per day - so 1 Premium adventure can be more valuable than 22 Explorers, making them fairly insignificant in the overall picture.
That said, in terms of boosting your game performance, it may be better to get half a year's worth of Premium than getting 10 Savage Scouts: If you really take advantage of the Premium, you will gain more in a month of Premium than in 10 years of Exploring. So, at the moment, "Premium" cannibalizes "Savage Scouts": Players investing some money into the game are better off with Premium than with Scouts, rather than having one benefit the other.

Maybe you are unaware of the effects of "Lucky Detour", which currently makes Medium Searches (on average) more rewarding than Long and Very Long Searches:
If there is no Explorer Bonus, the Medium Treasure Search with 3x Lucky Detour yields an average(!) of 18 Granite per search - a Long Treasure Search yields an average of 6 Granite per search and a Very Long yields an average of 12.69 Granite per search.
From a Granite perspective (the main reason to do searches), Medium Search is more rewarding even if you currently can do only 1 per day.
If you have the luxury of having the time to run 2 searches daily, Medium really begins to shine, rewarding (possibly, though at odds of 1:25) up to 200 Granite with an average of 36 in the same search time as one single Very Long Search, which can currently bring back no more than 60 Granite (though at odds of 1:6).

The Treasure Bonus fixes that, as it provides significant odds of returning up to 100 bonus Granite (or 150 bonus Gold Ore, for that matter) from Very Long Searches, making them viable in the big picture.

To some extent, yes, because as long as they are "Free" playing, they do not benefit if this were implemented.
If it were globally implemented, independent of Premium ("everyone gets extra loot") as it currently is, they wouldn't miss out.

    -1
"free players" or players who play for free cannot get this kind of premium ,you have missed to specify that in first post,
should have made a thread like: premium membership (pay per month?) benefits vs "free players"...

In my case I do have a use for all items returned from long and v.long searches, with mediums only half the items are of use to me.

Your valuing based on North Isle prices tells me nothing as a player on Sandycove.
