Whoops forgot to tell you why most people prefer option 1. (Attachments are very limited in size)

If you followed the following steps exactly it should have registered. If not then you'll have to wait till Support gets back to you.
    • Open your Provision House and select the second tab and click Traveller Family
    • Set the slider to 2 adn click the button with the green check on it
    • Wait till the production is done, open your quest book and check if the quest requirements are green

As a last resort and if you really want to try and finish it, you might want to try and produce and apply 10 Traveller Families (so 50 settlers)
We have had issues with "Traveller Family" quests in the past, so who knows...

    Oh! I've seen this!

This is my current screenshot folks. The dependant quest, (Stormy Shores', is the one where 23 of my guild members have to complete their quests. This has happenned multiple times and I produce my settlers but nothing happens. I give up and the next day it resets again.

When I hover over the two windows in the quest there are no other dependancies.

    Thanks

What Fexno's said just above should work but the "Produce [something] in Prov" GQs have bugged at least once before. For this one no-one with a "Produce in Prov", (Settlers, or in my case Marble) could get it to work. The next day it had sorted itself out so I didn't bother reporting it and clearly it slipped my mind but here tis:

Get quest to produce 1 Lonely Marble Block (1 LMB = 50 Marble) - Produce 1 LMB - Quest still grey - Produce 2nd LMB:

    Quest still takes no notice:

Those "You'll find the produced buff"s in News are the right items, they just completely failed to register. If that's what you have it's not you, it really is the quest.

Also worth noting - There is a quest that requires you to "add the settlers to stock" but in GQs you don't need to, there's no listed requirement to add and producing the [thing] is enough. At least it's meant to be.

Thanks guys - Fexno, I have tried your suggestion and have tried doing two lots of families at once, doing them seperately and so on but no luck. I've always made sure they are the ones I have generated, (rather than getting them as a quest prize for example), and that there is space in max pop to cater for them.
I'm in week 3 of this problem so I'm really hoping support can sort it out.
I'll keep trying until they come back to me - thanks again.

You DO NOT need to add them to the mayors house, this may be the problem. You also do not need to have pop space as you are not required to add them, and can leave them in star till a later date. Just making them should finish the quest. As you have the other part green, then both should be green and you can click the tick at the bottom of the quest to complete.

That's exactly the problem, both parts and the tick-to-complete should be green but neither the "produce" bit nor the tick at the bottom actually are green.

Too I'm fairly certain it should be counting even single sets of the required item, it often does in regular non-Guild Dailies and in my case above all it wanted was one of the thing, but worth trying when things stick, if it works that's great and if not it excludes it as the issue.

The stuck quest I saw may not be exactly the same as Clappers', ours affected everyone with "Produce [something] in Prov" and did suddenly start working the next day but on the surface they're pretty similar.

Three weeks Clappers? Jinkies! o.O GL getting it sorted, that's bats.

Ah yes, sorry about that. Somehow I mixed up the quest requirements with the other one Iolanthe was talking about.
There is indeed no need to add them to the Mayors House and thus no need to have a population sufficiently below the maximum. (I've updated my former post and removed that part to prevent further confusion)

As Iolanthe and Kit_ said, try checking the Quest after you are done producing but before you add them to the Mayors House.

Worth a look, when things are working that bit of the quest should go green and stay green as soon as the thing is made, if adding to stock makes it go un-green again that would make an already odd bug very strange indeed.

(I didn't actually suggest that above. My marble never left the star, in fact I'm fairly sure it's still there. I missed that as being part of Kit_'s suggestion instead of confirmation the *adding* isn't required. When "Acquire" quests are active the green in the progress bar can drop but when a quest has bumped over to "Complete" I've never seen one come undone again. That's true, but not quite right. It doesn't bump to "Complete" until the other item is "paid". Rephrasing - I've never seen a "Produce in Prov" bar go down again either, though that certainly doesn't mean it can't happen.)

To be accurate, it's a server-connection issue. I've had similar registration problems on testserver when using a wifi connected laptop.
25/11-14 , 23/02-16 .. The end is coming and it will look like this .

Cheers SmurfAsh, it may well have been a connection/communication error somewhere and if it's just doing it for one person that's absolutely worth checking but I was hardwired at the time and that day it affected everyone available in guild chat, from various countries, with two separate "Produce in Prov" individual quests.

I'm still baffled by the three weeks Clappers has been stuck, be grand if theirs worked out to be something as identifiable as a connection issue.

Well, a server-connection issue may lie on server-side (in some degree), but yes.. Clappers problem here is baffling..
Perhaps it's rather a sync error.
