Anything over 100 gems is too much. For a building that offers around 1250 logs, which is similar to the loot from almost any adventure.

Please would someone explain what you get for spending an extra 245 gems on the General BigHelmet as opposed to a normal Battle Hardened General? Apart from the extremely expensive "took at least 5 minutes" graphic, of course

Aren't all the generals available in the merchant already?! Unless this means we will be able to get another MG from the black market, in which case it's great news.

Also, every general is now available in the game (shop). Let's take a look at them and their abilities!
This is puzzling, "every" Gen isn't in the shop.

    General
    Acquisition: Tavern
Minimum level: - (Tavern minimum level = 4)

    Every Black Market General
    Acquisition: Shop
    Minimum level: -
These are taken from .ar (the Dev Diary reads the same there) but if memory serves it's true here as well:

All these Generals have a minimum level of 13, be a bit silly to go buying them so long before you can even make a Recruit or have the quest to 'purchase from tavern'.

If that is indeed accurate for all language versions this is the sort of odd little oversight that make people wonder.

The Red/Blood Tree is very pretty. When last seen on the Test each took a 2x2 building plot (like a Wheatfield) so I'll probably squeeze one in from time to time but had they been 1x1 (like a Flowerbed) I'd have wanted more.

General bighelmet (was called general stronghelmet) was originally ONLY available in the first retail pack in shops for £9.99. some players wanted this special look general but packs were/are very rare to find. so BB have added to shop ingame for those who like to have full set of different generals. (and charge 245 more gems than the BHG)

scrap that exo tree idea and invest the clearly limited resources bb have on content that will improve the game dynamics not tat that won't sell (e.g. exo tree nursery ) as someone already pointed out even if it was 100 gems tbh would you buy it??? no 50 gems??? no its not worth gems full stop. ewl is easy to obtain. heres an idea do something that will expand the game for the end players. i have no idea who is behind this great brainstorming idea at bb hq think tank but for the love of god remove them from there posts.

This isn't so much as a Dev Diary as a rehash of old news. I mean seriously? a review of generals! They are all very lovely. Yes! they have nice new tents, but that isn't news, nor is the exotic tree nursery or the red tree deco. All these have been mentioned before.

So do I summise that there is no news? Is this smoke and mirrors to distract us? No news on PvP? (even "It's still being developed" or "It won't be happening anymore" would be useful) No news on economic adventures? or general skill trees (seems quite relevant at the moment). How about new Fairy Tale adventures or things we can buy with beans?

Just something to give us hope and to curb the exodus of players fed up with what increasingly appears to me to be a deliberate attempt to drive long term players away
