Epic workyard = Epic waste of gems.

I know when you get to level 50 you start looking at all the expensive upgrades etc you can do, but the Epic workyard is in my opinion very over rated.... the only good thing about is that it finishes a quest.

If you need a lot of coal,

My gold production chain is off now, that would consume extra 10k coal when it running.

output of 1 epic workyard = 14 level 5 coking plant.
area of 1 epic workyark = area of 5 coking plant.

so you save 9 building area & 14 building license.

cost of epic workyard is (1) 5000 beans , or (2) 5000 gem

    5000/9 = 556

so, do you think 1 extra building area worth 556 bean(about 6000 coins) ? of course I do.
do you think 1 extra building area worth 556 gem? look at the cost of shotfired and demolition crew in the black market. it is not over priced.

or if you have other way to expand the island, please let me know....

I have 1 epic workard for coal(save ~9 space), another for hardwood sawmill (save about 6~7 space). If I could buy 3rd, I will still consider depend on the price.

the best function of epid woodyard is (1) coal (2) hardwood sawmill (3) hardwood forester

    1 epic woodyard = 4740/380 = 12.47 level 5 hardwood sawmill
    you save 12.47 - 5 = 7.47 building area.

1 epic woodyard = about 10 hardwood forester
    you save 10 - 5 =5 building area

    now back to the question:

    2nd epic workyard. Worth it?

    this question become:

X more building area, worth it? (X = 9 or 7 or 5 depend on the function of it)

lvl 75 update is coming, all building can upgrade to lvl 6.
the area saving thus reduce unless they create new quest to unlock more function of epic workyard..
1 epic workyard can save 6.7 building for for coking, 5.4 for hardwood sawmill
