Dear Settlers!
This Sneak Peek provides a brief summary and first impressions about what's coming up. A first preview version of the Christmas Event 2014 will go live on the public test server on Thursday, October the 23rd.
Since the test server version will only be a technical preview, all prices, numbers and limitations are not final - the balancing might differ in the final version. A detailed Dev Diary will be published once the event was finalised.
Event start: 11th of December 2014

During the Christmas event, you will have the possibility to gain a special event resource: Presents.
Presents (Event resource)
The presents are displayed in the store house (event tab).
They can be traded and gifted. In case you have presents from last year you can use the items this year as well.
As usual, there will be many ways to collect presents:
- Event calendar: The calendar will be re-introduced with this year's Christmas event.
- Adventures: 2 Special adventures with presents as rewards can be played.
- "Present Delivery"-Adventures: New non-combat (buff) adventures with a Christmas theme will be introduced.
- Collections: Special collectible items will spawn on the island that can be transformed into presents.
- Daily quests: Special Christmas quests providing additional presents as a reward.
- Event quest chain: Special Christmas quest chain which will guide you through the event.
- Explorer: Certain chance on each treasure search to find presents in addition to the normal search rewards.
- Shop: Presents can be bought in the shop. There will be 2 packages.
A full list with pictures and explanations will be provided with the Dev Diary prior to the start of the event.
"Gift Delivery"-Adventures These buff adventures demand to deliver Christmas Gifts (special Buffs) to houses (Camps).
As soon as enough Christmas Gift parts were delivered, the house will transform into a nicely decorated Christmas house.

The first test version of the upcoming Christmas event is planned to be deployed on Thursday, the 23rd of October.
