Have check on combat simulator and 120 r and 100 elite should provide attack that has only recruit loss

And same for last camp on Save the Christmas Feast, otherwise you will lose elites.

I am level 46... should be the same bracket as level 50.

Am checking if it's possible that maps can swap ( might be a random map you get given )

Well, it's certainly possible... whether or not it's intentional is another matter!

As you pointed out, the map randomly generates when opening the adv, so you might get a different map for the first buff adventure ( can be the second , or even another .. in the guide )
I can only tell you to be carefull and check which maps it loads and DO NOT make buffs in advance if you haven't started the adventure yet.
