This Sneak Peek provides a brief summary and first impressions about what's coming up on the international test server. A preview of the new version with some long awaited features will go live on the public test server soon.
Since the test server version will only be a technical preview, all prices, numbers and limitations are not final - the balancing might differ in the final version. A detailed Dev Diary will be published once the features are finalised.
What are the highlights of the new game version?
Mountain Buff: Remove mountains - a way to acquire additional building space on the home island
Scenarios: Special adventure type. No need for any military effort to be completed, can be finished with buffs
With the help of special buffs that will be implemented with one of the next updates, it will be possible to remove many mountains of different sizes from the home island. This will result in free building spots on the home island that were not accessible so far! After the introduction 2013, the feature had to be technically revised.
As a first step, buff adventures called "Scenarios" with 3 degrees of difficulty (easy, medium, hard) will be added to the game. They will tell a short story and ask players to solve a problem by applying buffs to objects on the adventure map. There will be 4 Scenarios available to begin with. They can be found via Adventure searches.
A dead forest has to be revived in one of the adventures
